2023 - OUR YEAR OF ABUNDANT LIFE

Our Beliefs
The Holy Scriptures.

We believe the Holy Scriptures of both the Old and New Testament to be the inspired word of God. The scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and therefore the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Bible are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. (2 Timothy 23:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ.

We believe that God is the father of our Lord Jesus Christ and that He is the one and only true God. He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, He has always existed and He is ever active in the universe. We believe Jesus Christ to be the only begotten son of God, truly God, truly man and born of a virgin mother and lived a sinless life. We believe He died on the cross for the sin of mankind. He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God. (Psalm 90:2, Matthew 1:23, John 1:14, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the Divine Third Person of the Trinity, ie God as Spirit. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is for every believer at the time of salvation and the speaking in tongues being the initial sign accompanying this baptism by the Holy Spirit. (Joel 2:28, Matthew 28:19, Luke 24:49, Acts 2:4).

The Godhead

We believe the Holy Trinity to be God revealing Himself to us in three Divine Personality each distinct in office from the other yet perfectly one and constituting one God. (Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22, John 14:9, 16, John 17:3).

Salvation and Forgiveness of Sins

We believe that all of us have sinned against God and need a saviour to redeem us back to God. We can never earn salvation by good works but the good news is that there is a way out. God has made salvation available to all freely through grace and personal faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. This everlasting life of abundance is available to all through Christ Jesus and as many as will confess their sin and repent and believe and trust in Jesus Christ death on the cross and resurrection will be saved. (Isaiah 53:1-10, John 3:16, John10:10, Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23-24).

Healing

We believe in divine healing and that it is the right of every believer to have access to divine healing through the finished work of Christ on the cross. God will for us is to be healed body, soul and spirit. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24).

Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is a commandment for all believers and it should be done by immersion in accordance to the word of God. Baptism by immersion best symbolises our being buried with Christ unto death of self and as Christ was raised from the dead so shall we also to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19 Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4-5).

The Lord's Supper

We believe in the Lord's Supper (Communion) using the physical elements of the bread and the fruit of the vine and this is to be observed in remembrance of the sacrifice Christ made on the cross thereby proclaiming His death on the cross for mankind. (Luke 22:19, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

Christ Second Coming

We believe in the second coming of Christ and that during this period a pre-tribulation rapture of the church will take place - the sudden catching away of believers on the earth and those who have died in Christ. This will be followed by a literal 7 (seven) year period of tribulation and judgement on the earth, then the final judgement of the wicked dead, resulting in everlasting punishment in the Lake of Fire which is the second death. (Daniel 12:11, Matthew 24:15-29, Mark 9:43-48, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Revelation 19:20, Revelation 21:8)

Giving
We believe that every Christian is a steward of that portion of God's wealth entrusted to him and his obligated to support the local church financially. We believe that God established the tithe (10% of the gross income - the first fruits) as a basis for giving, and that every Christian should also give other offering, both sacrificially and cheerfully to support the church, to relieve those in need and to spread the gospel. (Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:10-11).
